Build a dog training program in Manchester
The home of the BUILD A DOG PROGRAM
We came up with the idea of the build a dog program to simplify dog training and hopefully make it easier for dog's and owners / handlers of pet dogs, specialist dog's and competitive dog's
The way it works is you tell us what you want your dog's to do and we try where possible help you to teach your dog
We try to avoid things that you don't need eg
If you go to some trainers they sometimes tell you what excercises your dog's are going to learn like teaching your dog's to stand or stand stay or teaching a pet dog competitive heeling
When a pet owner doesn't want their dog's doing that so we talk to the owner/handlers find out what exactly they need and work only on that

Dog Training ideas in Manchester
More training ideas below
Recall problems
Lots of reasons why
Lots of ways to teach
One idea teach dog to touch your hand with nose or paw
If you teach paw or to touch with its nose its normally near /close to you
So if you teach paw / nose and it's a short distance from you it has to come to you to do what you taught it
So what did it do yes it touched you but it also came to you so it recalled !!!
More training ideas on our blog regularly follow us to see more
If you want more information about what we offer feel free to contact us

Please remember not all methods work for all dog's
Pulling on lead
Do the below in a distraction free place
Why does it happen ? Lot's of reasons they walk quicker, they want to get to park, want to smell something, want to get to a dog there's loads of reasons
How do you start to correct it
Firstly without any interest in rewards it makes it harder so working on this will be a good idea
Then step out of the door and reward the dog outside of the house
Come back in and repeat over time the dog thinks when my owners go outside with me good things happen so the dog is looking at you instead of ahead of you
Walk off with the dog saying let's go or whatever you want if dog is still with you reward
Watch for the dog going slightly forward and turn quickly in the opposite direction when dog catches up with you reward while dog is next to you
anytime dog goes forward repeat above
Repeat this occasionally turning quick in opposite direction even when dog is with you
This is just one of many ways to teach it's a very basic idea
